Going back to learning can sometimes remind us of being kids ילדים (yeh-lah-deem) again—finding excuses to skip homework or secretly celebrating when the teacher is out sick. For some, school might not be something you’d want to revisit, or it may stir up some less-than-great feelings. But learning at Citizen Café is a completely different learning experience. Here’s why:
First off, our homework isn’t your typical assignment. It’s designed to be done “on the go” and feels more like a game משחק (mees-chahk) than the chore you might expect or try to avoid.
And here’s a twist—when a teacher has to miss class שיעור (shee-oor), our students actually feel disappointed! Many have told us they look forward to class so much that a cancellation is a real letdown. Not quite the school experience you remember, right?
Another upgrade? The community קהילה (keh-hee-lah). You’re not just joining a class; you’re becoming part of a vibrant, supportive community. Our students often connect outside class, practice together, and share their progress. It’s more than just learning—it’s about being part of something bigger.
But don’t take it from me, come see for yourself! 👇🏽
